Myogetsubo Studio
Set in an early Meiji era garden, Myogetsubo Studio is part of Nichizoin Temple, a Tendai Buddhist temple. It is the “heart” of EcoNikko.
Here we offer weekly yoga classes, meditation, satsang and host visiting teachers and students. The studio space has been lovingly converted and updated to accommodate up to 30 students.
Hidden behind antique Japanese screens are a wide array of yoga props including blocks, belts, blankets and bolsters for each student, enabling a positive experience in every kind of yoga practice. The restored living areas are now a beautiful changing area with storage space for personal articles. The gardens surrounding the studio provide meditation areas as well as chanting space.
Myogetsubo Studio is within the grounds of Rinnoji Temple, in Nikko Japan. The gardens are part of the Nikko UNESCO World Heritage Site.
